Anyone heard of a rumor about Glock making a rifle?

I was talking to "Mr. Glock" at the last gun show and he said they had put an new 100 yd. underground shooting range at the Glock factory. He then asked me what do you think they are doing with that? My response was well with the overwhelming abundance of new sub-guns being marketed by Highpoint, Keltec and others they must be desigining a Glock pistol based sub-gun. His response was, no they are working on a full length full powered (non-pistol round) rifle. So has anyone else heard this or got any inside info?

Rumor started at shot show last year or year before last, guys on another forum i frequent asked the glock rep point blank... he said no way, were a handgun company.

Rumor I heard a couple of years ago was Glock was going to build a polymer AR. .

I’m afraid to speculate what may or may not be in development. I do know from reliable sources inside Glock that this mythical 100 yrd range does exist at their facility in Smyrna. Who knows what they’re doing with it. You do have to ask yourself what do they need with such a long range if they’re exclusively manufacturing pistols.

Reps only know what they are told to know...

I am sure a lot of companies wished they were making AR's back in Nov 2008 and the following months, and looking at AR prices today, I am sure several are glad they didn't start....

They have been promising the LEO community for years that they were working on something, but nothing has came to light. I would be highly surprised after all these years if they decide to do something now. I will say they are starting to loose ground in the LEO Community because S&W is pushing the M&P's and gaining ground.

100 yards isn't THAT far for a pistol. And it's certainly not far for a rifle.

That's one rumor that I haven't heard....LOL and I'm full of rumors..

I have been reading "rumors" on several gun forums that Glock is in the process of designing a pistol caliber carbine. Been hearing about it for a long time though.

I've already got two model 20's, so a 16" barrelled carbine that uses mod. 20 mags would be SWEEEEEEEET! 10mm out of a 16" barrel ought to make some VERY nice muzzle velocity, and pair that with some 200 gr. bullets......????

+1 10's are awesome. Got a 20, 20SF and Delta Elite. A carbine in 10 would be mega-awesome!!!

I've seen the construction from a distance in October and one of our Agents went to the Advanced Armorer school at Glock in July and the instructor said Glock was working on a. 223 and. 308.

SWEETTTTTTTTTT. I've heard that same rumor from 2 people who have been to the Glock armorer school and I heard it from another person who is a very reliable source at the gun show.

The ultimate 10 if you can find one

A local Pawn Sop that I deal with has a 16" barreled upper in 10mm that you use your Glock frame & mags. Looks like it would be neat to have. But I don't have a Glock in 10mm. Or a Glock period.
