bull barrel .22 mag or century arms ak-47

Post by Guncrazy21 on Thu Dec 22, 2011 11:05 pm

I was wanting to add a new gun to my collection and didnt want to spend no more than 500$. I have narrowed it down to 2 guns i am interested in, a Savage model 93 BSEV bolt action .22 WMR with a 21" stainless steel bull barrel and wood laminate stock. I also like the century international arms GP-WASR 10 AK-47. They are both about the same price but I can not decide which one I like more. I could go cheaper and get a Romainian ak-47 but I hear they are extremely low quality and are not heat treated, so they tend to have problems. Any suggestions?????

A wasr 10 is a romanian ak, and the lowest quality ak variant. If you want a quality ak buy a saiga and convert it from the sporter profile into the regular . Century is not known for quality

The WASR 10 can be hit and miss. I have owned several and still have 2 of them ... both of mine do very well for what I paid for them ... If I were to purchase another (and I probably would if I wanted another AK), I would not do it sight unseen .... would have to personally look it over before purchase. I have seen them with canted front sights and have heard a few stories with barrels actually bent ... However, if you get a good one - they will function and perform just fine.
