DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! The pressure and the choke could cause a blowout. Besides, you would be pushing a 45 cal bullet down a 41 cal barrel. Somebody would get hurt.

Plus, there is no rifling in the barrel. 45 Colt accuracy would SUCK big time......

sand_man is correct. Don't do it. H&R does make a 45/410 survivor model in which the choke take be taken out. I use to own one. The accuracy was ok to 50 yds with a 45 colt round. I even shoot a 460 out of it once or twice. The best round for it is taking a 9.3x74, blowing it out, and custom loading. I could load it just like 45-70. Using the plastic part of a shoot capsule, I could load a lot more shot or six 000 buckshot

when i was young and didn't know better my dad handed me a 20ga full choke and told me to fire rifled slugs through it. It didn't ever blow up in my face, but I will never do it again, and the accuracy was piss-poor. I missed probably 10 deer standing broadside inside 20yds
