has anyone ever heard that you should load your mags. from the box of cci ammo. long ways in order that they feed into the box from the factory ,and not across five rounds at a time. a man told me that but a dont know if it matters . any comments on this.

If Winchester Subsonic hollow points shoot well in your rifle you'll not be disappointed in their performance on game.
Huge hollow point, great expansion and as accurate as Wolf MT in my brothers 597. Not quite as accurate in any of
my 22's but easily shoot under 3/4" @ 50yds. in most of my rifles. About $35/brick.

CCI Standard Velocity $25/brick at Dick's. Most accurate cheap ammo on the market for my rifles.

I have had poor results with Green Tag. Wolf MT is close to the same price and usually outshoots CCI SV.

Your rifle may hate all of these. Only one way to find out. If a subsonic is the most accurate for you I wouldn't
worry much about the velocity.

I've used the Win subsonics in my 22/45 and was very pleased!

I have good luck around the house with cci subsonic. Its like 950fps and is not too expensive. I ha e no experience with the match grade stuff yet. Im getting into that now and soon will ha e some feedback on that end.

If you are trying to shoot bench rest with that 22 - at Pine Belt - you need to get your hands of several different brands---Federal - CCI Green Tag - Eley (several different box colors), RWS, Wolf - etc......and try it in your gun and pick out the best for you - at 50 yds and again at 100 - Sometimes what shoots best from a particular gun at 50 yards my not be the best at 100 yds....Years ago I had a Winchester 52 that would shoot Eley 10X super at 50 yards but shot RWS-R50 better at 100.-----

I tried the old blocks of ammo. You buy 550 at a time and shoot 300. I went with CCI and have never had 1 ftf.

Of the affordable bulk .22lr ammo, I prefer the CCI Blazer.
