Sons of guns in the "news"
Apparently they had a pretty big foul up not too long before the show got started. Of course it's mostly scripted and money talks so I'm sure that's why discovery has kept things looking like Will was still running things.
I don't consider TMZ a reliable source though so take it for what it's worth:
http://www.tmz.com/2011/12/23/sons-of-guns-atf-william-hayden-firearms/#.TvpY84l5mc0
And here is another link to some more of Will's apparent lapse in judgement or lack of ethics:
http://www.courthousenews.com/2011/08/18/Bum.pdf
I don't take the show too seriously, as it's a bit over the too for my taste, but I do watch it regularly because it's a gun show so I might as well support it, and they do build and do some cool stuff from time to time

Re: Sons of guns in the "news"
From what I've gathered, apparently they moved the FFL holder into Vince and one of the other guys names once all this went down. But Vince has recently left the company and the show to start his own company. It sounds like they have brought in a new guy to replace Vince. From what I understand, Vince had completely had enough of the cameras, Will, the office romance and all the other stuff he had to put up with at Red Jacket.
Here's a link to the new company that Vince and a friend of his just started.

Sounds like the first link in the OP could have begun with Stephanie. Isnt she the Office Manager daughter? Which would make her responsible for paperwork as well? Cant remember all that for sure as I only catch the show occasionally.

Sounds like me, I watch if I click on it. Ten guns missing and losing you FFL, sounds like any other FFL would be seeing a stretch in the big house, especially since they deal with select fire, silencers, aow's and others. Ten guns??? Maybe they were in the fast and furious plan.

Has there been a reality show yet were some if not all of the so called stars are or have been embroiled in legal issues.
Man I'll be glad when the whole reality show (not that what they are showing is even close to reality) genre dies off.

Not surprised. Though really, it seems the Feds, lose that many guns monthly or heck even daily. 10 guns??? Get back to me when Holder finds his missing 1700 ( F&F) guns.
Yeah, producers just can't seem to get thier asshat "drama" out of an otherwise decent idea. No I don't care about office romance, or Will's big mouth and "too oft played" military background. ( Not every Marine calls everyone brother).
Good links though in the OP. Damn .. sure looks like Will just royaly screwed some shareholders. Of course I doubt it tells the whole story.
I watch the show to see neat guns, the drama leaves me flat. They could muzzle Will most of the time and the show would improve. The daughter grates on my nerves everytime she opens her mouth. She is cute though... pretty girls should be seen and not heard.

Pretty girls with awful voices should be seen and not heard especially....
As far as the end of "reality" shows.......good luck! Our society has become so dumbed down(aka
) this kind of staged
is the only thing that can keep us successfully entertained. I mean do any of us honestly believe that the Red Jacket guys were presented the opportunity to build stuff like the flamethrower cannon or all that crazy crap on a weekly basis before Discovery stepped in?

Things of worth they have created I would say is the suppressed shotgun... Everything else has just been for show
Re: Sons of guns in the "news"

And some stuff has just been straight knockoffs.
Example:
The masterkey! They made it out like it was their concept and no one had ever done it before, either what they meant to say or what Discovery cut out is that they were the first, at least to my knowledge, to do so with a saiga12, or any semi-auto that I know of.
Second example:
Their folding SMG/flashlight box concept....yeah magpul beat them to that with the fmg9(iirc, basically a pelican case looking deal with a flashlight on it that opens up into a glock 18 SMG) by at least 5 years, and it doesn't look like poop.
Those kinds of things irked me more than anything else they do, because they(them or discovery) wouldn't give credit where it was due.

Good God, that thing was ugly and there's no way I'd trust it in a life or death situation. Magpul's looks so much better and probably functions better too.

Now tonight they're trying to rebuild a maxim machine gun and mount it on a prop plane's front end.....this kind of stuff is cool to see because God knows that technology has been dead for a while now so it'll be cool to see what they do to it.
