Re: How much fun is a taurus judge?
Coming in late on this one, but my 2cents: a friend bought one of these for his 18-yr old son to "play" with. Son got pretty discouraged after the fun wore off (maybe 50 rds .410 / 45) because he couldn't hit a 3' x 3' target at 10 yds with any consistency. It hit, but if you measured the "group" it was the full 3' x3'. It now resides in a pawn shop case, the son got a nice less expensive, more accurate Ruger .22 to play with. The good thing about the Judge is there are still a lot of people out there who think it is "cool" so you should be able to resell it easily when you get tired of it...

A friend has one. It is only used as a snake gun at deercamp now. I do the same thing with my much cheaper rossi 38 snubby and can still use it for other needs.

I like to use my Kimber Compact CDP II....those .45acp hornady FTX bullets do just fine! Course it might take an extra try on a really small one. Benefit to it is it's usually already on me so I don't have to worry about remembering a snake gun
