CCW Permit requires exact change-thanks to the gentleman with an extra dollar

Post by xdmelarton on Wed Dec 28, 2011 12:03 pm

Went to turn in my paperwork this morning. This may be common knowledge but they do not have change so bring the exact amount. I was a dollar short of 132.00 so I went out and asked the line of other applicants for change for a 20 and one gentleman gave me the dollar I needed. To him I am thankful. thumbs up

And now the wait begins.....

Since we are on the subject, where on the Gulf Coast do I go to get a new permit with my new address on it? And would I have to pay for a new permit?

I'm not sure if the Driver's License office in Natchez is the same bunch of clowns (they don't do firearm permits in Natchez), but I was there when they opened at 8 last time I had to renew my DL and they didn't have any change. The lady behind the counter told me, "You can go to the gas station down the street and get change, then come back and pay." I was so mad at that lady behind the counter that day. She couldn't have cared less about the situation if you offered to pay her. I sent an email to the head of the department, and his only reply was that the staff is not provided any change at the start of the day. He said they were supposed to bring their own change, but it was obvious there were no repercussions if they didn't.

I went to the Jackson office today and the lady gave me change. I guess all locations are different.
