If you want to keep dirt acummulation down try spray silicone. It's available through most auto parts stores.

I use the manual trimmer. I use the same lubricant I use for resizing. Put a little on the button with a Qtip.

I gotcha, thats exactly what I've been doing but I called RCBS and asked them and I couldn't get a definitive answer

Plus one that Quigley said, a light oil is all that's needed. Has anyone galled a shaft?

If one were ever gonna gall, it would've been when I trimmed down a few hundred 45-70 brass to 45-60...trimmed .220 off each one. That 3-In-One oil works.

Thanks for all the reply's ya'll. I've been using a chain lube that a friend uses at his shop, supposedly good for any type of light friction. I'll have to go to the shop and look at the can for the name.

I use super lube synthetic grease.
Little messy, but works well for me.
