Hk91 clone range report

Post by Beladran on Thu Dec 29, 2011 6:33 pm

Had some good trigger time today with my play toy! Sent couple hundred rounds down range with out any issues ranging from hot to barely cycle the action.. From 147gr ball to 167 lapua. I was expecting my brass to come out looking like it got sent through the garbage disposal but I was actually shocked at how little damage was done

The markes will come off when I tumble them. Only downside is this rifle slings brass a good 50-60 feet : (

Zero dents or crushed mouths.. The flute marks can barely be felt

I got some 38's in there now but soon as they get done that's what I'm gonna do...

Side note... When you start doing rapid fire the gas blow back is stanky stanky

Yer lucky. My HK 91, and any G3 I fired, engraved the brass with those nice grooves...in addition to changing the case mouth to a nice 1/2 circle.

Went back today an actually shot some targets rather than blowing ammo. 100yards away. If I could just get it over an down some. But with mil surp 148gr fmj it did better than I thought.

Now you know where to aim........ Smile

I think if you had a more defined black bull, your group would be smaller......

Had 4 rounds today not go into battery.. Seemed like the bolt was dragging. Broke it down on the range an oiled everything really good an it helped but I noticed some Heavy machine marks on the hammer an bolt asymbly along with some firing pin contact wear on the hammer

So got my dremil an wet stone out an went to work!

I was able to get 90% of the marks out an slicked it up good along with the bolt

I have to say the trigger group on these rifles is very robust. I been having fun playing with this rifle : )

Get some Lubriplate A-130 (or 130-A) for the wear areas.

The trigger group is probably all milsurp. The main difference between an HK full auto and semi is the sear, disconnector and bolt carrier. (and of course the selector)Who made your rifle? I´ve seen a lot of milsurp parts used in guns built by Century.

Beladran...It looks like you have a Century Cetme (based on the hammer). On the outside it looks like a HK91/clone but 90% of the insides are totally different.
