Online firearm purchase taxes ??

When you purchase online and use ffl do you have to pay any taxes??

I heard somebody say there was some type of firearm tax???

If the seller is in the same state you pay state sales tax, otherwise just the FFL fee.

That's right. The firearm tax that you're referring to is a federal exise tax and is paid by the manufacturer. It's 11% if I'm not mistaken and is built into the wholesale cost of the gun. The consumer pays for it in the long run but rarely realizes it.

Uncle Sam gets us in all sorts if ways that we are rarely aware of.
