Now, that makes me want to invest in a Mihec.

Where do you find those nasty looking little boogers? They look like they would make BIG holes.

They are sized to .452. The reason the case looks bulged is because I want neck tension. I size and deprime, but do not fully flare. I use the larger flare stem and only bump the brass enough to barely flare the mouth without expanding the case. If I ran it all the way like you are supposed to, the case wouldn't look bulged, but I would not have neck tension which is more important than crimp.

A test you can do is to take a fired case and flare it, seat a boolit and crimp the hell out of it without resizing. Then take a case properly sized and seat without crimping. See which one pulls easier in your bullet puller....

Now those are gently taper crimped to prevent setback only since it is for an auto.

Got to run a few over the chrony at lunch.

5.0gr Unique ran 797-822
5.5gr Unique ran 848-853

The 5.5gr load may be a bit much considering I am getting that velocity with a 270gr boolit. At any rate, it is right on the heels of a standard 45 Colt load.

My wife also commented on how much louder the second group, the 5.5gr load was? The brass was all in thrown about the same distance.

This may be the cats meow for the 1911 and a standard 45 Colt!

Add to your order while checking the shipping cost. 6 boxes of 357-158gr. swc had the same shipping as 1 box.
