1907 Savage 32ACP

Post by redneckly33 on Sat Dec 31, 2011 12:55 am

Can anyone tell me anything about this Model of Pistol. Appears from Pictures, to be about 90-95% condition. Was told It shot well. the Guy is asking $400 for it. What would be a fair price? Comes with a Flap Holster. It looked like it had seen better days. Forgot to mention, the Pistol is an automatic.

Don't know much about them. It is listed in my Smalls Arms of the World reference book that the French Army used them during WWI. Here's a wiki article on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savage_Model_1907
No idea what they are worth.

On Gun Broker they seem to average about $300. Sometimes you can pick up some good info by reading through the sellers' discriptions.

One in 45ACP was submitted for the service pistol trials. It gave the 1911 a run for it's money. The recoil spring is around the barrel.

Just looking at the pictures, it looks like the finish is still really good on it. But then again, it could have been reblued. I didn't know Savage had made Pistols until this one caught my eye

Savage made thousands upon thousands of pistols. they just decided to concentrate on long guns. The 1907 was and is a fine pistol.
