RIA 1911 45 cal, sights
Got a new RIA 1911. GI model with fixed sights. She shoots 2in low and 2in to the left. I am shooting 230 gr fmj. Outside of filing the front sight down, can the back sight be moved over?
Thanks for any info and help. Going shooting this thur, hope to get this pistol on target.
Happy New Year to all!

I'd let a few others shoot it before making mods, but the rear SHOULD be drift adjustable.

Usually. One of mine shoots low no matter who shoots it. Its a metroarms, similar to the RIA.

You can drift the rear sight over. But first shoot it for a few hundred rounds and really focus on your trigger control. To make sure its not you.
On the elevation you cover the target with the front sight not a 6 o'clock hold like some other guns. But you can file the sight down to adjust it to your liking, Is it a staked front sight or a dovetail?
