I've considered offer to cook or help cook, but was not sure how to offer without sounding like I wanted to butt in on their action.JohnHeiter wrote:Lastly, I know they haven't asked for help but I think it would be good if we could get Richard and Shane some help with lunches. Not saying kick them out by any means, but I think it would be nice if two or three guys could get together and offer to give them a break one match.

Is Shoot'N Score It an option to getting folks registered and the data easily imported into WinScore?JohnHeiter wrote:We've looked at the Palm scoring before, but I've never been sold on it enough to make the jump. Part of that is the whole Palm side of things. I hate spending money on something that has been dead for many years. We would need probably 14 of the things to run our state match and I personally would not want to get the cheapest palms possible just because they're so slow updating the database for a big match as it is.
One of the biggest match hassles is getting everyone registered and that data copied into WinScore before the match. I'm REALLY hoping that the changes Rob Boudrie has made to WinScore in the last few weeks and the changes I'm going to make to the online form will take hours of work and condense it into minutes very soon so I'm excited about that.

Not to bypass the outdated software, is there way of importing the excel file? Then using the EZScoreWin to upload it to USPSA?
Would it help if we rotate out a couple people for sign up/registration each match? For example, two people this month, two different people next month? Rotate the duties around to all participating club members? I can do my part when I can, but know I will miss a few matches throughout the year.

I feel this thread is just creating more work for John as he now has to answer all our suggestions. Would it be better severed to create a committee to discuss and then recommend options??

I can man a grill for sure.. But would like to follow shane and richard around one match to make sure I know about all the ins and outs and logistics of cooking for a crowd.. As far as purchasing the food and things like that...

LOL, thanks Jimmy. That kind of help I CAN use. By the way, your lessons with Anna are really paying off. Several of us were commenting that your shooting has gotten much better since she's been helping you.

Oh by the way John, she is giving pay lessons if you'd like some. She puts on a very good class on drawing and presenting your firearm from a holster!

She also can be bribed to paste targets for you before they have been scored if you have a bad run

Does she take .22 ammo as payment cause I'll sign up for that. I'm pretty good at presenting already because pretty much everyone got a good look at my gun as it flew by but I admit my draw could use some polish. I also need someone to explain what those bumpy things are on top of the slide. There's one out on the front and a couple more near the back but I haven't figured out what the heck they do yet.

You're best to just file them down, they get in the way of finding the target.JohnHeiter wrote:I also need someone to explain what those bumpy things are on top of the slide. There's one out on the front and a couple more near the back but I haven't figured out what the heck they do yet.
