Only members and their guest(s) can come out.ssanders224 wrote:If i dont shoot steel, i can prob come sling some lead with you. I need to run some legit drills instead of just burning up ammo like I usually do. Can I shoot at MRPC if I'm not a member?? ( I need to sign up)

No, you have to have a membership badge, be shooting in a competition, or be a guest of a current member to shoot. Hope this helps.

You're right about the map, JD. I've got a good bit of info that I can get to you, but there is still some stuff that needs to be put together.
I have shot with the Mobile crew a handful of times and they are a great group of folks. I have enjoyed the matches, but similar to Poplarville, they aren't as fortunate as Magnolia or some other clubs when it comes to facilities and props and this does affect the stages. The range is near Vinegar Bend, AL, which is actually quite a ways north of Mobile. It is in the middle of no where, so you will be on some pretty small back roads to get there. The range itself is really nothing more than some dirt berms cut out and pushed up in the middle of the woods, and there are no restrooms at the range or even nearby, as there are no restaurants or even gas stations for several miles. The props stay out in the weather and therefore fluctuate in condition as they are repaired and replaced. Stage design is typically done on the spot rather than preplanned. Don't get me wrong, they do have some good stages and I am not trying to put their matches down; just trying to give an honest assessment so you will know what to expect. I should go more often as they are actually a few miles closer to me than Jackson, but due to the back roads it takes me about the same time to get there.
There are good shooters there and their turnout is generally in the 20's or there about. Their website is here:

Speaking of maps, JD, I think you are mistaken about the location of the pig shoot. He lives in McComb now, but the first post says the lease is near Thomastown off the Natchez Trace. Should be somewhere NW of Carthage, MS.

I think you have my email address, so send me what you've got and what still needs to be pulled together and I'll see what I can do.DBChaffin wrote:You're right about the map, JD. I've got a good bit of info that I can get to you, but there is still some stuff that needs to be put together.
