MSFOA Meeting -- 2/25/2012

The Mississippi State Firearm Owners Associations Annual meeting will be held:

I would encourage everyone to become a member. This is an NRA affiliated organization and also a CMP affiliated organization. Membership is a mere $15.00 per year.

Ummm ..

I feel lost what is MSFOA, ( other than the obvious), is there a web site? mission statement?

How often are the meetings? I won't be in the country for this one but I wouldn't mind sitting in one to see what's in the news.

MSFOA -- Does great work with the youth ... If nothing else, they could use your support of the mere $15.00 yearly membership dues.

We all need to do something to support our youth shooters in the state ..... if you can not give of your time - give them $15.00!! I do!!

It is very important that we get as many firearm owners as possible who live in MS to join the State Association. A large membership, along with the NRA's backing, gives the Association enormous political clout. If the Association can go to legislators and say that our x1,000 members support this / oppose that, they will listen. Even if you can't make the meeting, please join!

Can we join at the meeting?

I posted this under its own thread, but would like to post it here as well:
I will be placing my name in the running for the position of Secretary of the Mississippi State Firearm Owners’ Association. I believe with the assistance of the current leadership I can serve the state’s firearm owners in this capacity.
I have been active in hunting and in the shooting sports since I received my first shotgun at the age of 10. Among my qualifications:
NRA Life member since 1992
Life Member of Southwest Gun Club, McComb since 1998. My son and I are very active in the rifle programs of the SW Gun Club.
Executive Officer and Director of Rifle Programs for Southwest Gun Club since 2006
In addition I am active on the local and state levels in educating and advocating for firearm owners’ rights and Second Amendment issues on a national level. I invite you to speak to members of the SW Gun Club and ask them about my involvement with the club.
I respectfully ask for your support at the upcoming State Association Meeting which will take place at Bass Pro Shops in Pearl, MS on February 25, 2012, at 2:00pm.
