BTW, it's not $30, it's $32.10 with sales tax, which is another thing I've questioned. I don't remember paying sales tax for services anywhere else. Maybe on parts, but not on services. At any rate, when other FFLs I've dealt with advertises transfers for $25, that's all they charged.

I recently did a transfer with DJ's Silvermine and there was no tax added to the fee, plus Donald and Grace are straight shooters and super nice people that like to talk guns, give them a try next time.

On GoG, the beak down looks to be gun price plus tax, and then a 17.95 transfer fee with out tax. This is for one I was looking at to gold and guns or dj's silvermine

I think we're talking about 2 different things OTB. I don't know if that $17.95 is a transfer fee or a shipping fee, because they don't elaborate about what it really is. I believe the transfer fee is built into the price of the gun, though. The last two posts are discussing the FFL fee itself, if you just have a gun sent to them for the transfer. I Like GOG, too, because it does give the OTD price. Even if they happen to be a little high, they're a great tool for comparison. Most of the guns I've gotten from them were either new or rare for other reasons, but I've always been happy with their prices. My FFL doesn't particularly like Gun Genie, though. Says they don't make enough on the transaction. Don't really understand that, since they didn't have to inventory anything. Seems to me that If they make the $30 they charge for a standard FFL transfer, it would still be income for them and much better than me buying from someone else.
