He got 6 of 12 trained officers. There's more to this story we'll probably never hear. Sounds like he knew they were coming and was prepared and was ready to do great harm over a drug charge?

A drug warrant actually warrants this type of entry?? Is there not a better way??

Hard to think of a worse one.

I agree, he had to go to the store, check his mailbox, anything like that. He was waiting in ambush(tipped off?) and they walked right into it. Prayers to the families of the dead and wounded.

reason I was curious on this was because in a radio story on this I heard the speaker say the cops were in "plainclothes". Who does a dynamic entry in plain clothes?

Therefore I was wondering that perhaps he thought he was being robbed by a gang or perhaps they hit the wrong house.

We had an incident in Florida when an old man that had lost his money in a bank in the 30's, had $40,000 on his kitchen table. A delivery boy saw it and called the Sherrif. They raided his home and did a no knock entry. He killed sebverala officers with a .30-30. They sent more cops and he dispatched 3 or 4 more. The man had done nothing wrong. They eventually killed him but his Family won an undisclosed settlement in a lawsuit. If the man had limited criminal records it may have been a bad raid. We need more facts to sort an incident like this to sort it out. I have seen several bad raids in the past.

I do feel badly for the officers killed or wounded in this incident.
