Boberg XR9s
I could not wait......since I was over 600 names down on the list..... I decided to jump on the #110 off Gunbroker. I got it today at my FFL and needless to say, I am VERY IMPRESSED. I know the warranty isn't good for me, but I'm a big boy and will deal with any issues as necessary.
The dealer was just as impressed, wanting to get one for himself. I explained the website pre-order so I expect his name to pop up there. I'll keep my place and purchase another one when my actual time arrives down the road. If a lower serial number comes along as well than 110, I may jump on it as well.
I think Arne has hit on something here. I love the way the Boberg sits in my hand. I was tolerant of my Kahr CM9 but never comfortable. This XR9s is way more comfortable and easy to sight.
Right now it's sitting in a pocket holster for my CM9 made by DM Bullard. It works, covers the trigger, but is a tad large. I'm working.....no I'm thinking.......on a Meco or some other plan. It just hasn't formulate in my mind as "patience" is not one of my virtues.
I'm going to the hunting camp today and plan to pop off a few rounds. I'll report back the details.

Interesting. Looks like a bullpup pistol. Don't shoot the fingers off your support hand.

Very nice find! I was beginning to think the Boberg was a mythical beast. I'm interested to know how she shoots.

That's a good looking pistol. Look for other companies to follow suit. (Ruger is world famous for that).

Can we get a comparison pic with your CM9? I've owned a bunch of Kahr's so I'm curious how it compares.

WOW, $999, a year long waiting list and the likelihood I'll shoot off a finger on my support hand.....pretty good bet I wouldn't be buying one.

Did you get a chance to shoot it over the weekend?

I did shoot it about 50 times. Seemed very accurate at 7 yards. Least it's the best I could shoot. It feels the same in my pocket as the Kahr CM9. However, once you grip a Boberg, you'll understand how well and balanced it feels, as your hand is farther under the gun and the sight line doesn't move as easily. I only tried speer gold dot jhp and some WWB, but no failures.
I like the 7+1 capacity. Night sights would have been ideal as well.

I saw some diagrams of the mechanics of this gun. Simply remarkable, Not sure if that has been done before. The way it loads the rounds into the chamber.

Wow!!! It's hard to believe it has a 3.35" barrel. The way it operates is amazing.

Sold it. Nice gun, just not for me. Of course, I'll sell everything so don't take that into account. I like guns, just have no loyalty to any one particular gun. Right now I have the MP Shield and of course, several Glocks.
