I thought the blackhawk was DA and the Vaquerro was SA. I'm guessing maybe I was wrong and a blackhawk is swing out cylinder while the vaquerro is cowboy action. I own a vaquerro in 44mag nickle plated with gold flame inlays on the cylinder and ivory grips. Its real prudy. I also have an uberti in .357 magnum. It is an EXACT copy of a Colt peacemaker right down to the thin trigger. Many people use them in the cowboy action shooting. I really like it too and it was on Sale at Mark's when I bought it for 199 now they more like 399
