Australian Gun Control and a Warning to Americans.

Post by TankerHC on Tue Jan 10, 2012 12:14 pm

A member of one of the Gun related Facebook pages I subscribe to asked if someone in the U.S. could ship him several types of Handguns as they are still allowed to own Handguns. Of course, everyone said no and one person posted this. It's from last year.

At the end they say government can take your rights at anytime.

I'm glad we have a Constitution that recognizes inalienable rights.

Sorry, Phil, but I've got a take on it too.... The Constitution is purty badly trampled on by now. "The Right of the People to Keep And Bear Arms shall not be Infringed." So why do I have to pay my state $132 (the $32 is the fingerprint fee) for the right to bear arms? And even then, do you think I can do so openly? Not in my state. Looks like "infringement" to me! OK, I'll get down off my soapbox now. rambo fighting 23 machine gun pull hair

I spent a week in Melbourne last month. Didn't see a single gun or pawn shop. I couldn't wait to get back home.

The rise in crime is not shocking for Australia even more so than other places in the world....i mean think about it, Australia was used as a prison state for EVERY criminal, or mentally ill person the British govt could get over there! They did the same thing with Georgia, except it was more for minor offenses....which explains a LOT about Atlanta. Maybe some folks are just set on living up to their ancestors expectations.

I can't even begin to imagine what would happen here if/when it happens. Like has been mentioned here before, there will be another "assault weapons" ban in the future, this one just might be permanent though. salute/flag

We already know Romney is in favor of it, just based on what he did in Mass.

I may get flack for this but I absolutely can't stand Mitt Romney if he's our candidate, I'm voting Ron Paul anyway. Obama and Romney are the same candidate can anyone say conspiracy?
