For anyone interested in Cliff's Enhanced Carry class he will be teaching on Thursday the 19th, Thursday the 26th...Sunday the 22nd. Just shoot him a PM for details.

I've known Cliff for quite a few years now. Many people don't know this about him but he sometimes comes up to the stats shack during matches when it's just the two of us in there. I can say with some certainty that when he goes in the men's room to poop the whole office smells like rose petals and lilacs on a spring morning.

Ok, maybe it doesn't but that was about the only positive thing about Cliff left that someone hadn't already said. Seriously, I have and would recommend Cliff again to anyone in the area that I knew was serious about getting basic firearms instruction with an emphasis on defense and protection.

Handgun Instruction, Yes go to Cliff. Handguns are Cliff's Specialty. Tactical Rifle under 50 meters probably Cliff.

ISSF/NRA Air Rifle at 10 meters somebody else. ISSF/NRA Smallbore Rifle 100 meters and under, somebody else. NRA Service Rifle, F-Class, anything at a great distance, somebody else. Cliff like everyone else can only teach and become proficient in so many of the shooting disciplines.

OP did not specify what he wanted to learn the basics on: Rifle or Handgun??

The rifle and the handgun are different. Apples and Oranges. A person cannot continually think "Handgun".

There is this firearm out there known as a RIFLE!

The rifle will teach a person in different ways than a Handgun. The Handgun will teach a person in different ways than a Rifle.

Over a period of time, take some rifle classes as Doug Bowser mentioned above. You will find those rewarding as well as the classes from Cliff.

Well, as long as the hair has already been split, the OP didn't say he was looking to get into competitive shooting either. Maybe he was looking for 10 meter air rifle training, but we'll probably never know because I suspect we've scared him off with all our posts.

Anyway, while he does seem to focus on pistol, Cliff is NRA certified for basic Rifle and Shotgun training as well so I think the bases are covered there.
