None, zero, zilch, nada reloading supplies. i did buy a few small things, but was in and out in 2 hours even talking to Shoe, Joseph and others. The January Jackson Gunshow is normally small, but I was surprized at no reloading stuff......

Not a winner...except for the folks collecting money at the door...it was PACKED. Literally couldn't get to the tables for the people
Was tempted by a couple of things...a Smith 629 in particular...but left empty handed.
Rw, save your $7

Just got home from the show - $7 I'll never see again. Aisles packed, prices up and no ammo sellers to speak of. I was disappointed, but I was surprised - very surprised - to see two dealers that had Kel-tec Sub 2k's. One was a 9mm, didn't pay attention to the other.

Darn, didn't see the 9mm. Saw a guy with two 40's. Been wanting one of those for a long while. Told you it was crowded.

I went I saw... I bought... big!
I actually went looking for Caleb as I tore down the CZ for job on the barrel. DIdn't find his table.. doh... should have read the forums!!!
Show was VERY VERY crowded, with that many potential buyers there is no reason for sellers to drop prices, and they pretty much didn't. I think the show would be counted as successful by most sellers, and with the crowds, the operators were pleased, and even the buyers probably thought they were someplace popular and pleased as well.

Re: Jackson Gun Show this weekend, worth the trip?
this was a terrible show. i have been to many many shows and this was by far the worst ever.
as said before the aisles were way too small and the selection of guns low and the prices were high.
i was very interested in purchasing a rifle from one of the venders just for the action on it and the guy was such an ass about me looking at it and checking all of the parts that i just walked off. i guess he didnt want to sell anything. i have never seen that before. i would have bought the damn thing but after a smart ass remark i wouldnt have given him half price for it.
i found a couple mags a a decent price and thats it.

Re: Jackson Gun Show this weekend, worth the trip?
I know what the previous poster meant about people with attitude selling at the shows,
though not at this one but several years ago I was browsing the Great Southern Ernie Bean
one and found one dealer with a terrific price on just the Benchmark folder I wanted. Well
he had an end table and one to each side and try as I could I could NOT get his attention
even after loudly saying "excuse me, I want to buy THAT knife" so I took that as a clue to
move on, found the same knife on the next aisle for $15.00 more and gladly paid the higher
amount to avoid dealing with that jerk then I went back to his display and lo and behold
got his attention and told him, you just lost a sale due to your inattentive attitude and walked
away. My impression then and now of Great Southern is that they never pay a lot of attention
to who they sell tables to and I think that got them in dutch with the ATF some years ago
when some camo for lunch bunch wannabe Rambo was walking around with a double sling
harness on with two .380 MAC 12s? in them loaded for bear and someone pointed out that
the upside down muzzle up carry for a weapon firing from an open bolt was a good way to
get a shoulder and arm blown off and when the situation was reported to them at the desk
they ignored it until someone called the ATF apparently, not me though, that day and the
next day Sunday, the feds showed up and almost shut the show down.

Re: Jackson Gun Show this weekend, worth the trip?
Shows in this area never cease to amaze me. Example-One dealer has a S&W 442/642 for over $400 another dealer that I have purchased several guns from has the same exact gun for $369. When you ask one guy if this is his best price cash price right here, right now...he gets insulted. Then other dealers have one of their partners walking around offering to buy your gun for a lowball cash price. While haggling he says hey you are not leaving me any room for profit....Later that day you see the ##@hole that lowballed you sitting on the other side of the table with a gun like the one you were carrying marked up $200.
And some marvel at why people from the South are viewed in derogatory terms...WOW. Does sitting behind a card board table elevate one to gun guru status? Does the wad of cash in my pocket give me the right to insult those trying to make a reasonable profit and stay in business? I would rather drive 200 miles and deal with sane people than some of the personalities I have encountered at Jackson gun shows. If this is the best Jackson has to offer...times have changed for the worse. I have a very bad taste in my mouth and I wont let it happen to me again. YMMV

I went Sunday pm. I can't comment on the gun prices...Mainly looked for a few accessories (slings, stripper clips, case, etc.), so I was pleased. It was crowded. Aisles were narrow...jammed packed into the bay. Enjoyed meeting ussaump and atomicbrh.
I would LOVE to go to one of those 4K table shows I hear about in other states!

Most shows over the last few years have not really been worth going to. Other than to kill time and meet a few members, it is really pointless. You can order a gun from one of the dealers on the board cheaper than you can get it at the show. If you are looking for a part to a gun, esp. a carbine, Garand, or 1911, it is ok. But other than that...

I'm a single word "NO"
Other then meeting a friend there and running into other friends, it was a total bust, not one thing I was looking for.

Haven't had much luck at the Jackson shows either... only bought one ruger p89 for $200. Sold a couple guns for reasonable prices but those were to individuals walking around. I understand dealers gotta make a profit and must buy low and sell high... but there were guys with used S&W Sigmas asking over $400 when you can buy one at academy sports for $289. That's just ridiculous imo.
There is, however, usually a fellow selling 50cal ammo cans for around $8. I've picked up a few of those.
