Remington 798

Anyone shoot one? Looked at one today. I really like the mauser action over the 700 action. Price seems right too at 450$

Never held one but the price is right as you said. How's it feel compared to a 700?

Well considering im not really a 700 fan anything is an improvement. Lol. Stock felt/ looked 770 / savage axis cheap but im just digging the mauser action... Maybe better to buy a mauser and go from there?

Lol not buying. Just admiring. Smile id rather buy a used Ruger. Besides i got a huntin trip i gotta save for, and a fridge to pay off, and a S&W 586 to get off layaway, etc etc. Altho that 2.25" Ruger SP101 for $400 was REAL tempting!!

Joe works three jobs. Guess he figures he can't be laid off on all of them. Don't know how he does it, two was enough for me.
