Held the most beautiful rifle at the gun show today.

Post by LRodgers on Sat Jan 14, 2012 4:57 pm

I had the pleasure of shouldering my very first M1A. That rifle is just plain beautiful. I had seen them of course in photos, but to hold one and feel the quality and see that kind of workmanship up close was awesome. Now, where I can I come up with $1500 crying

I've looked at several M1A's over the years and I can't talk myself into buying one. I just can't get past that plastic handguard. I guess I'll have to stick with my Garands.

I like them, but for the price id rather have two garands, or one garand and a few years supply of milsurp ammo.

Wasn't too long ago they ran about $700 loaded. Kick myself for not getting one but that was a lot of money then, or so I thought.
