Thanks for posting up the pics. I had a great time yesterday. I really need to work on my standing . Maybe next time I'll shoot the vintage too. I would highly recommend everyone to come out and shoot at the Burns Range. Working the pits is almost as much fun as shooting the match.

Thanks to M1GF, Dusty and all who were generous in sharing tips to us tyros in learning this discipline. It's fun and challenging and much harder than it looks...

I neglected to point out: The high score in the Vintage Bolt match, and 4th place of 9 by only 1 point in the M1 match, is one of our best junior shooters. Congratulations Garrett! Our junior shooters are the future of shooting sports, and we all need to do everything we can to recruit, train, and encourage our junior shooters.

Had a magnum large time. Great job with the match Phillip.

Jarheads Don't Cry ,

But damn I sure did think about you shooters while I was sitting in the tree hunting .
My hobbies are hunting , shooting and fishing in that order .
I probably would have had a better day at BC than I did hunting .
Congrat's to the high scores .

I had a great time! Special thanks to the pit volunteers for the bolt gun match, D.C., Johnny Morgan (M1 Garand fan), and Stephen Redd (Brutus).

I had a great time eventhough my offhand score stunk up the place.



I don't know what happened. At the across-the-course match in Nov. I had the high score (82 I think) in offhand. I was just really off in this one.



And Johnny is right.... It's almost as much fun working the pits as it is shooting. I enjoy it all the way around.
