Yep, definitely helps me save money on ammo for my 7.65 x 53 Argentine Mauser rounds.

You don't find many boxes of 7x61 S&H on the shelves. If it wasn't for reloading my .43 Spanish and .40-82 Win would be wall hangers.

My calculated reload costs are low because my powder is about 25+% less than current prices ( just re-started re-loading since 1997 it appears. Some powder I had was from ~1984). But using actual current prices, assuming 10 reloads per case, it's still about 50% of factory prices.
And no, I do NOT include the price of the dies, ~1984 Dillon press, and other upcoming purchases etc, in my optimistic cost justifications LOL.
It IS therapeutic to reload and shoot! I'm glad we live where we have the freedom to do so!

I have been reloading since 1974, and I have found that it did not save me a penny. I just get to shoot more for the same amount I was spending on factory. lol
Seriously though, I have been shooting is some type of competition since 1975 (Skeet, Trap, IHMSA, NRA Silhouette, USPSA, ICORE) and without reloading, I would not have been able to afford it. Eventually, if you are shooting in competition, you will want to get a progressive, but hang on to that Rock Chucker. It will be perfect for working up new loads and loading any calibers that you only shoot a few rounds a a year, such as hunting loads. Good Luck and enjoy.
