Prayers sent for your situation. I know exactly what your facing and can tell you that it may not look good now, but its all for a greater purpose. Just keep trusting in the Lord and he will make a way. Job hunting is tough right now but you will be fine. I had a similar situation 2 1/2 years ago and had to work a couple jobs outside of my normal career setting. Long story short, I took a job with hopes to move back into what I went to school for and 9 months and 1 week later got moved into the best job I've ever had, but still in the same company. So, hang in there man, God is good!

Even as a minister, I can attest to the fact that trials can often overwhelm us. After Pres. O. was elected I lost a fairly stable contract job running the network for an Air Force base. His admin felt it needed to be converted to a government position, which began a whole littany of legal battles... In the mean time, I was let go at Christmas '09 and, like you, felt moments of despair. After 6 months of searching, I landed an even better job with the Dept of Veterans Affairs here in Jackson. LOTS of interviews in between, but I have a very supportive wife that kept the encouragement going. I am thankful for you that you have your parents close by.

I pray that you will not have to wait that long and I honestly feel that you will not since we are on very opposite ends of the career-experience spectrum and senior-level jobs seem to be scarce these days. I hear the cry of your heart and will gladly pray for you not only on the job front, but also for the bright future you are entering in May. May God bless you and your future bride richly!!

Well things are looking up.

Talked to one place today that is a maybe, just gotta do a assessment test online.

Also talked to an old friend from high school who is in management at video game store, and said they're opening up two new stores so I picked up an application and plan to take it back tomorrow with my resume(I was illprepared today and didnt have a resume because I wasn't in my truck or even thinking about stopping anywhere when I left). She seemed confident with my experience and degree that a management job should be no problem, and is going to try to get me an interview as soon as I get the resume and app to her.

And then on my way home from that I got a call for a temp job with the state that I'd been recommended for by a friend of mine, that I will start February 15th, providing a permanent job doesn't come up first. If nothing else it's a good start

A friend recommended me for a job a couple weeks ago. Got the process started today, so I have an interview with them tonight. Big time prayers needed please! They said it'll be a couple weeks before they make a decision, but my friend's contact seems positive so we'll see. Gonna have to knock it out of the park on this one.

Thanks it went exceptionally well I think. But they have interviews set up with a few other people so it'll be a couple weeks. But I think I've got the right reference for the job, it seems like something I would enjoy doing, and I'm really getting a good feeling about it thanks to several things I'm considering signs ha

But in the meantime I have a temp job with the state lined up that I start weds, so that will get me out of the house for a while(set up for about 5-6 weeks, but they know I'm looking for permanent work so they said if something comes up to go for it, because they have a huge list of applicants). But the search will continue until I hear back from them.
