Why don't CCW permit holders get a discount on gun purchases?

Considering all the risk/liability someone takes on when they become an FFL holder, I'd personally be calling in my mother's CCW if she wanted to buy from me. Sure she's got the plastic in her hand but who's to say she doesn't have warrants now cause she's a secret crackhead? Sorry Mom. JK

Ok, I don't know if they check for outstanding warrants when you call in but you get the idea. The FFL holder can be held personally, legally, and financially responsible for selling to the wrong person so why risk their livelihood and potentially their freedom to save you 2 minutes of time or $5?

The ones I deal with around here tend to call it in if they've never seen you before. After that first buy, they don't call anymore.

Back before I got my CCW permit, every time I bought a gun from a dealer they (of course) called in for my "instant background check".

I am pure as the driven snow---no record anywhere ever.

Yet, every time they got a "delay" with a message that they would get back with the dealer within a hour or two.

Try that in the last hour of a gun show or when you are in a hurry to get somewhere else.

I never did pursue finding out the reason. Folks told me that it is virtually impossible to get the flag changed so I didn't have any problem. They said that someone with a name or SSN close to mine might have a record.

Anyway that's largely why I got a CCW permit---to avoid the hassle.
