If someone is looking to pick up some things for F shooting, this guy has some pretty good prices. Ex. Nightforce 8-32 scope $995 shipped. Thats a $1200 scope.

What kind of advice are you looking for? You can learn quite a bit reading about other calibers in addition to .223. I would wager to say there are quite a few folks on this forum that can give you good advice also. I learned more from other shooters above my classification than I did reading about it.

This forum is my first read! I'm not sure what I need to know right now, as I just started down the .223 road. Load development is complete, for now, on my .308. I do want to move up in classification with the .308 before I swap.

I hope to shoot the Berger 90 VLD's. I'm not sure if the 26" barrel will be enough for the heavy bullet.

We need to start a .223 thread under the F-Class forum.

I could not get the results with the 90's I wanted out of a 30" barrel. Staying with the Sierra 80 SMK's. I can shoot in the mid-190's with it.
Trigger time and learning to read the wind are the ticket to success.
Remember, this is a journey, not a sprint, so enjoy the trip.
