My book says the 1900 was based on a August 1899 Browning patent. 105,000 were produced between 1900 and 1902. 18" barrel, straight grip, no butt plate. It says there were no serial numbers but the manufacturer and caliber were stamped on the barrel.

ive several pics of the guns ive found on the net & even a pic of the original sales add from when they were advertised, my is id say 90% gondition,no bluing missin & no rust, stock has no dings or cracks, when i compare it to these pics it looks every bit identical but there is absolutly no name, letters, or numbers of any kind, not even when u take it apart can any be found, that makes me doubt what it is, would there be any other reason for not stapping the gun or possibly its not a winchester?

I've had about a dozen Winchester 60's, 67's, 68's and 69's. On some of them the markings were very light and all have been well used. If this one has no bluing missing I would suspect that it has been refinished. It's possible that the markings were removed in the polishing. I had one that I had to file the pitts out of the barrel before polishing it. Had to be very careful around the marking so as not to remove them.

There is one on Auction Arms listed for $395 but it is in NRA Good condition. Most people would be buying this as a collectible so original condition is essential. If the markings have been polished off and it has been refinished the value would be low.
