I am proud to say

Post by BigMikeFromOlemiss on Sun Jan 22, 2012 7:58 pm

I have completed the NRA Instructors Certification course in Pistol. I had great time in the class...it was a blast.

Congrats!

As an aside, weren't you from Oxford? Your profile says NE MS now.

Thanks man. I plan on teaching first steps and basic pistol to some of the children around here and in my church. I am looking forward to it.

Here's a link where you can search for classes. The ones on the right are where you get certified as an instructor:
http://www.nrainstructors.org/searchcourse.aspx

I got my basic pistol instructor rating in Tuscaloosa from James Hester at Gun Logic. The basic pistol class is indeed very basic. It is good for children or someone with no prior experience with handguns.

Speaking of how to get your certification, Cliff is a Training Counselor and can certify instructors.

Yup. Thats my plan DB. I really want to teach children how to shoot and adults with little to no experience.

Congrats big mike. It was good meeting you in class. I did get Personal Protection in the home class and it is worth it. Much better class than the basic pistol.

Can't wait to start teaching the classes myself.

Cliff, what classes can you certify instructors for?
