cheap .38's from j&g

Post by C17load1 on Sun Jan 22, 2012 9:45 pm

Has anyone had any experience with the 38 revolvers in shotgun news I was thinking at that price they would be great to have one in each truck, and one for on the tractor loaded with snake shot. I am thinking about a group buy down here in the yune

I have personally seen quality issues on the taurus revos. I would be worried that these might be seconds or something.

These revolvers were part of a lend/lease program to foriegn countries. They are popping up everywhere for sale. I've seen them on Auction Arms selling under $150.

Ive considered getting a couple of these, but my trust in taurus isnt strong enough to shell out the money. Now, the used s&w j&g has... thats a deal.

I've got 2 Taurus m85UL's , and I have never had a problem out of either. With a Wolfe reduced hammer spring in the blue one make s it slightly lighter pull.
I think for the price it should be worth the chance.

If you get taurus go for new so you have guaranteed warranty. Even then i'd think twice. This is from my experience with owning actual Taurus pistol and revolver, wish i'd saved my money, or look up the model 10 S&Ws JBPMidas was checking on.
