cutting gun case egg carton foam to fit....

I've got a few cases that I'd like to do a custom fit job on, but can't really figure out how you do it and be sure I won't make an a*s of it.

Anyone got a foolproof way to do it or maybe seen a good video on it?

Trace out your outline -- HOT piece of wire -- maybe a coat hanger .... really, really hot ...

Electric knife, sharpie, and a straight edge. Then just take your time.

I built a hot wire cutter. Took a little fine tuning to get it right. Electric knife works pretty good too.

Read somewhere you could use a soldering iron.

+1 on the electric carving knife, but a hot wire cutter will allow for much cleaner cuts.
