Who has the best Hangun selection in the Jackson are (Or say within 50 miles)

WHat shop or Pawn SHops have the best Hangun selection in the Jackson area or within 50 miles? I have the itch to get me another 1911 and am also open to other handguns possibly. Started to order from Buds tonight but decided I want to hold before I buy and want to walk out with it when I decide, not to wait. I know I havent been to all of them. Im looking for other than Vans, Bass Pro (2 1911's) Academy (4 1911's), Big Daddy's or Great Southern.

I always use Vans to look/handle the gun I want then buy somewhere else. Best selection in town.

+1 Van's has by far the largest selection.

Vans is great.. Also Big Daddys. Went down there the other day for other reasons and the manager was more than helpful.. Decent prices and seemed liked he enjoys guns and not trying to make a sale.. Was impressed with the selection to.

Vans all day long.

I know they have a good selection. Unfortunately, not for my budget. Right now my budget is $700 or less and I was at Vans last Thursday and didnt see a single 1911 under that price.

If you can make it as far north as Grenada, Gold-n-Gun has the biggest handgun selection in this part of the state by far. I think we are about 100 miles from jackson but its all interstate. Just call because they sometimes have crazy hours. Closed on Sun and Mon and until 4pm Sat. Open 9:30am. They have about 8 handgun displays.

OK Tanker...quit baiting and switching....you said who had the best selection of hanguns within 50 miles of Jack town? and its Van's...the rest are not even close

They're close to me so I stopped in not long ago looking for a new .40 semi-auto. I like pistols with hammers - OK, it's just me, but it is what it is - made that clear at the beginning of the conversation. Until I walked out thoroughly disgusted, all they tried to do was push Glocks off on me - sorry, no hammer. Won't go back - and, as an afterthought, whatever happened to the customer is always right? I stopped in Discount about 1 year ago looking for a Lee classic turret loader, big mistake. They didn't have it and I just calmly asked the lady there if she knew of anyone in the area who may have it in stock, she proceeded to crawl my a** about how the economy is bad and I should look in the phonebook or order it online like everyone else. I know she may have been having a bad day( I know how bad the economy is, I've lost my company to it), but I did not deserve what she was dishing! I WON"T be back!

Been to Discount H&F one time. They acted like they did not care if they got any business from me or not. Have not been back since.

I am sorry to hear all the bad press for Discount H&F. I have not been in there in a long time . (since I got my FFL anyway). I never had anything but good experiences with them.

I will look at what I have in stock tonight and send you a PM with pricing.

Off the top of my head, I know I have the following 1911's:
Taurus in 45 and 9mm
Springfield loaded
Colt 1991 (slightly used trade in)
Para ( one or two different ones)
Smith and Wesson
Ruger
American Tactical Imports (ATI)
Rock Island (pretty sure)

I will have to see what else.

Sorry to add another post, but I am pretty sure I have a Springfield Range Officer as well.

I don't know how far Meridian is from you but last time I was over there I went in a place called Garrets and they had a lot of hand guns in stock. Maybe not as many as Vans but they had plenty of 1911's. Their prices were also better than Vans. I looked at a Kimber Compact in the 800 dollar range and they also had compact Colts and Springfields. I was impressed by the stock they carried. I don't know about their service but they were nice to me.
