I think this marriage can be saved. If I counted the number of ex-wives who took a shot at me, took a butcher knife or tazed me, I couldn't say I been married thirty years.

I suspected (and posted) that there was a strange angle to the shooting. Nobody would just shoot a security guard at Shelby for no reason.

By the way, I know a guy whose wife hired a hit man to kill him. The hit man went to the local sheriff.

The wife and her boyfriend had it all worked out: The boyfriend would be fishing; the husband would stop by the wife's business location while she was not there, and the hit man would kill him.

The wife would arrive to find him dead.

The wife and boyfriend would collect husband's life insurance and live happily ever after.

The husband went to her place of business and lay down pretending to be dead.

The wife arrived, discovered the "body" called 911 and the sheriff arrested them both.

The boyfriend went to Parchman. The woman got no time.

The husband and wife are still happily married today.

I asked him a few years ago, "Man, are you crazy?"

He said, "Maybe so, but we're doing OK."

I was thinking, "If she'll kill you once, she'll kill you twice."

As anybody that's been in the military knows, not all men are 1st rate, top notch, much less the wife's and girlfriend's of these men.
