What do you call this?

Post by inthe10ring on Tue Jan 24, 2012 11:19 am

Can anyone tell me...what do you call this style of ammo holder? I've searched the web, but can't find anything similar. I like the round speed loaders, but they are a little bulky in the pocket. Also, where is a good source for these ammo strips? Thanks.

thats a "bianchi speed strip" loader.

an alternative to the cylinder style speed loaders.

Simply Rugged sells the Tuff Products version on their website, along with pouches to carry them on the belt. I bought a couple with my LCR holster a few months back and they work well, and conceal better than a speed loader, plus there is no digging through your pockets for loose rounds. Can't speak for the Bianchis though.

I love mine. Practice loading without taking your eyes off the BG, remember which way your cylinder turns and make sure the first hammer fall hits a round (practice practice practice and it will be second nature). You may not be able to get a full load with a guy coming at you full blast. Don't go click, click, boom. You may never get to the boom.
