We The People petition.

Post by TankerHC on Tue Jan 24, 2012 11:08 pm

I have been looking around the web for the last week or so reading up on the Korean Garands and Carbines. Someone on a blog posted "why dont they import both the Garands and Carbines, sell them through CMP and give the proceeds to Wounded Warrior projects?" And said someone should start a petition. I thought about doing it myself, as I think its a good idea. If you have never heard of "We the People", it's a White House site to post petitions for the Government.

"Welcome to We the People on WhiteHouse.gov. This tool provides you with a new way to petition the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country. If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it’s sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response."

As I was saying, I thought about writing it and promoting it myself. But if someone here who is a gun expert and possibly has experience in writing a petition would do it, I would promote it vigorously. Some of the things that it would need to contain:

* Why are these firearms important to Americans?
* Why should they go to CMP for resale?
* How could the funds be accounted for and distributed to Wounded Warrior programs?
* Estimate how much these guns COULD bring in on average.

Anyway, IM sure you get the point.

If anyone is interested, let me (Us) know. If no one, I will go ahead and right it.

Thanks
J

I'll sign if someone else rights it. Best of luck, but I know my writing ablities would jeopardize the mission.
