Check out my paracord fun

Post by BigDaddyQ on Tue Jan 24, 2012 11:14 pm

Made a bunch of stuff recently. A bunch of bracelets, learned how to do a fender today, and ordered some steel balls from nonnielsman today to make some monkey fists for keychains. Also gotta thank sidroski for picking me up 1000 feet of cord. So if any of you are interested in any kind of zipper pulls, keychains, bracelets, or what have you let me know.

Thanks Sid. I'm going to tie up a bunch of random stuff and take them with me to the next USPSA match on Feb 5th. If any one is interested. I got one of those midway bags and the zipper pulls broke tore up so I figured I'd tie up some fancy pulls. There is a ton of people with the exact same bag at the matches. So I'm sure somebody else has had zipper pull breakage.

Hate to say it, but at first glance, the first one looked to be a feminine hygiene product. I thought you were quite innovative until I realized it was a zipper pull.

hahahhahahh. Holy crap you're right. I'm gonna have to market that one on TV during the Superbowl then. It'll be the first female survival tamp. My wife rolled on the floor laughing about that comment.

Note to self no more white zipper pulls.

LOL yeah, your choice of color was the fatal flaw on that one. And no white ones with the bottom half red either.

Some of us is getting ready for supper. Let's keep them comments to ourselves until after 8:00.
On the upside, you better go get that patented, one for the week will be all that's needed. Put a little box on that string playing Alice Cooper so we know when it's safe to come inside.

Yeah Dave's Military Surplus in Pearl and Hasslehoff's has all different colors in 100ft bags for 8.99. I haven't sold but about 6 braclets so far so I'm only buying colors if someone asks me to make them something in a certain color. Right now I have Royal Blue, Highlighter Yellow, Highlighter Green, Maroon, White, Black, Green camo, and Foilage Green. BTW state fans Maroon fades into the white the first time you get it wet and makes it look pink. I can wrap cowbell handles with a Turk's head knot. I'm waiting on Nonnielsman to call me and tell me my steel balls are in for my tactical monkey fists. I ordered a bunch of 1.5 inch steel balls from him and a bunch of 1/2 inchers for zippers and such.

How long you want the lanyard? 12 bucks sound about right? The ball alone is about $5 with the shipping. Those little suckers are heavy. Check out this video of one hitting a milk jug. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfTfmgfP3tY

BTW the guy who made that video said they sell for $99 I think he's nuts. That steel ball must be made of sterling silver

I have no idea on length, have no experience with one, his looks like 3' or so, just enough to wrap around me and hit me in the knutz.

Just make me one for a tester and figure out a good length and ill pay ya for it.

Yeah that dude is insane if he thinks folks will pay $99 for one. On a side note, I wonder what his back/side looks like after missing that milk jug several times?
