smith and wesson 5056tsw tactical
I was in what used to be the local cop shop talking to the owner and she said they had some guns left over from when they sold them. She showed me a stack if new in the box s&w 4056TSW tactical. So in lies my question, I cant find hardly anything on the net about them. I don't even know how much to offer for one. any help would be good here.

I am having no trouble finding info. If they have a stack of them then I would go low on my offer. The 4056 gets great reviews, I say offer $300 and see what they say.

What price were they selling them for originally? I'm guessing $600 - $700. A few dealers still have them available in that price range. Doubt they're selling many though. If you can get one NIB for $500 or so you'll have the deal of the year.
All the "3rd Gen" Smith's are excellent pistols. Very reliable & durable. The market caused their demise. They contain a 100+ parts, lots of machining, got too expensive. Also heavy. As much as I make fun of plastic guns, if I had to tote one all day, everyday, you can bet it would be plastic.
All that weight, however, makes them great shooters at the range.

I traded off a 4046 last year and I've regretted it ever since, one I should have kept.
