I have a BIL in TN who lost his job back in October. They had to go on Welfare while he's looking for work. While on Welfare he and his wife have to do Community Service, they both work 4 days a week at the Library, attend GED Classes and be looking for a job. And that's the way it should be.

I'm for it but they'll be crying about how they can't do community service and look for a job at the same time.

And they have no transportation.

And they have kids that need care.

Etc., etc., etc.

It already is this way in Utah according to a friend of mine who moved up there. If you get government assisstance you have to work somewhere. They let them clean up the church grounds, sit with the elderly, all sorts of jobs. If you are disabled 100% that is the only way they are not required to work. I hope it passes, but won't be holding my breath. It should have been this way all along.

There is a permanent need for people to pick up litter on the side of our streets and roads.

Heck, if they had to pick it up, maybe they wouldn't throw it out the window in the first place.

The transporation and child care will be an issue.....it will never happen here.....

Seriously, the bill makes too much sense to be effective....whatever happened to self respect....Oh yeah....that's Mom and Dad's job to teach you that....and there in is the root of the problem

The system will just have to implode on itself...and when it does...riots, government takeover...anarchy...it gets real bad ugly....Hope I aint around to see it...but if it comes...I'm ready to protect "mines".....

HaHa. Facts are facts. It makes too much sense, which means...It will never happen in Ms. NRAguy hit the nail on the head. They will come up with every d*mn excuse in the book not to be able to do it, with the first being the race card, got to play that card, it trumps ALL others. If the Gubmint will stop paying to have kids, this country might turn itself around, Until then I don't hold much hope!
