I have always been into cars, trucks, and motorcycles and the lower the better. First thing you need to figure out is how the truck is lowered and then go over the suspension components and make sure everything is well sorted. Seen too many hack jobs.

You have to decide if you want to stay static or go bagged. Sounds cool, but a lot of people end up never using the switches. I like a bagged ride, but not a fan of the nose up fad these guys are riding nowadays. But I don't think bags are too hard to install, you should be able to do it. Find a buddy or two who knows wassup.

Im not into lowriders, but have done paint and body off and on for years and have worked on a few. What motor is in it? If its the 22r/re, i know more about that series of engine than just about anybody around here, still have a good bit of parts for the earlier motors too. I should have a factory shop manual in pdf form too, ill look for it this weekend.

That would be a 22r, tough little motor. Nearly indestructible. I can help on the audio too, roughly 22 years in that field.

Hell yeah man, good start. If you are going low, gotta be able to lay frame. Is it an extended cab or regular cab?

cv isnt as good as it used to be. Go for the highest db rating on the sub, jbl are usually real high. More spl for the wattage

I have never gotten into competition myself, so I am not the best reference, but if you have never looked at FI audio, I would give them a look. If you can somehow squeeze the subs in the cab, that is what I would prefer personally.

I never cared for competition, never had the funds. I have both built and helped build a number of systems that have competed though.

I just like a decent amount of bass with my tunes. A nice full spectrum with plenty of volume works for me. No need to try to beat anyone in a competition.
