Marlin mountie

Post by strawberry on Thu Jan 26, 2012 7:24 pm

Hey y'all I found a marlin model 39a Mountie in the pawn shop today. Seemed like a good price so I put it in lay a way until payday. Just wondering how y'all liked them and approximate value in I'd say 90 percent condition.

I've for the full length version, you won't care what it's worth because you wont want to let it go.

Have one that is an older model(barrel tapped for scope mount rather than frame). Fun little gun. Buy lots of ammo and enjoy.

shoot i have seen them sell on gb for more than $700 depending on condition and year of manufacture...... i got lucky in life and have collected three of these little jewels, and would hate to have to part with the least desirable of the three!!!!!!! two are minty, and the third is maybe 85%, my go to squirrel sniper rig!!! once you shoot it, you will not want to part with it..........

I already have a golden 39a with the pistol grip stock but I ran across this one and really like straight stocks on marlins. I'll post some pics once I pick it up. It will fit right in the safe between the 44 & 357 1894's.

There was one selling a couple of days ago on GB for $1,075.

(GB Item #271760824 if you want to look it up)

It was stated to be a 1965 production Marlin 39 Carbine... looked very nice too.
