Hello from Spain
I am on the second leg of the trip and we landed in Spain last night. I am staying in Rota, Spain right on the beach which is really nice but it would be better if the beaches were full haha. I will be here for a few weeks so there is many more pictures to come. Being over here is going to help my Spanish that's for sure, it has already haha. Here's a few pictures from my hotel balcony.

More to come later.

More to come later.

Where's all the people?
I see headlines that unemployment in Spain is way up---especially among young men.
I've kind of thought I would like to visit Portugal. I know they have a weird government, but it amazes me that such a small obscure country once controlled half of the "New World".

I took those this morning about 9am so nobody was really out. Apparently things don't start till around 10 or 11 because the night life lasts till 4 or 5 hence the siesta thing. Yea I have been watching the local news and Spain has the highest unemployment in the world, about 25%. The government is hindering us from doing our job right now actually, they won't let us on the base here without some certain special paperwork from both our government and theirs. It's turning out to be annoying haha.

I will be back on US soil on Feb 28th or so. I am here for a little over two weeks then I head to Norway for two weeks. I am a military contractor, I train and assist the military.

They apparently clean the streets every night and have people always picking up the garbage. There are some parts I've seen so far that aren't as clean but for the most part they are. The people here are nice and they seem to care a lot about themselves and where they live, for the most part that is but there are always the ones who don't.

Definitely no family with me. There was a female in a picture? Maybe one day we might come back here to Spain but who knows, it's pretty nice here. But Norway will be the deciding factor haha.

Looks cool. I have a friend from here in Jackson that married a girl from over there and they lived in Houston for about 5 years while she got her PhD and then they both moved back to Spain. He works for her father now making hydraulic machines for manufacturing plants, mainly food processing plants. He loves it over there.

I can see how he would like it, it's pretty nice. So far it's kinda expensive, about $8-$9 for a burger king meal.
Weather wise it's about in the 60s I would say, about perfect. One of these days I'm gonna go jump in the water and see just how cold this part of the Atlantic ocean is ha.

Argentina was the same way. Restaruants didn't open till 9 or 10pm, Bars didn't get to rocking till 1 or 2am, and they rolled the streets up during siesta time in the afternoons. Don't know about Spain but in Argentina every female between 18 and 50 was so nuff fine.
Never been to Spain but it looks sure looks like a nice place to visit.
