Older Win. 94 & Mosin Nagant 91/30 Range Report
The players today......................

The Win 94 30-30 I got from Beltfed and the 91/30 I got from Gitschlag. I have had the 91/30 for over a month and got the 94 yesterday. Today was the first time shooting both....................
MAN.... I forgot how much a 30-30 levergun kicks. Been so use to shooting ARs and Garands lately. I shot 60rds of 30-30 and 30rds of 7.62x54R and my shoulder is SORE. The 94 kicked more than the 91/30..........

Prvy-P (PPU) 150gr at 25yds.

Rem. 150gr at 25yds.

Rem. 170gr at 25yds.
Today I don't fault the gun or ammo. It was all the operator dealing with sun glare on the sights. I was shooting from a rest. Point-of-Aim was center of bull, and as you can see, the sights are right on.....

After cleaning any remaining cosmoline out of the barrel and chamber, I cranked off some rounds with my 91/30. This target was also at 25yds. Even with sun glare, I now see I need to lower the front sight post and drift it to the right. The rear sight was set at 100M (lowest setting). I still need to go through my 91/30 and clean out all the cosmoline, and then maybe work on the heavy and creepy trigger. It currently feels like a 4 or 5 stage trigger.......................

looks like you had some fun today. I wondered if you would shoot all 80 rounds. Wish I could have gone to the range today. My 4 year old has a fever and cough, and my 1 year old has a cough and the wifey had to work a 12 hour shift today so no fun for me today. She also just called and said maybe working a 12 tomorrow too. Hope these kiddos start feeling better soon.

I'm glad you bought that win94 so it would quit tempting me. Shoots good to.
