Scope for SA M1A SOCOM
I have the forward rail... any recommendations on a scope/sight (low power fixed or variable) would be greatly appreciated. Also of help would be recommendations on mounting. Thank you in advance.

EOtech or Aimpoint using a low 30mm scope ring this will get it low enough to co-witness with your sights. I used a Leupold QRW ring but any low 30mm scope ring will work. Burris also makes some LER variable powered scopes.

Re: Scope for SA M1A SOCOM
have scout and plan to either go with a cheaper red dot like a vortex strikefire or primary arms m3. or maybe a lower end long eye relief scope. guy did a youtube review on a scope he hadon his scout on that looked promising. will try to find the name. but again it was fairly inexpensive.
i know some guys will say spend for quality and im usually on board with that. I picked the rifle because of iron sights and even though I want something to toss on there I'm just not at that point yet with the funds. i do want something that stays zeroed and stays put with a really good warranty but im not ready to break the bank for little to no magnification. if it fails then I'll send it back and stick it on a .22 rifle or something. if it doesn't then I'll stick it on a .22 when I get the funds to upgrade down the road.
