Best 1911 commander (or 4'' frame)?

who makes the best one? which model?
Experiences with commanders? (this post includes the 4'' 1911s)

Look at Dan Wesson....I like the VBob personally. Generally going to be the best bang for your buck IMO. Not much more than Kimber's but much higher quality, made in smaller batches, etc

And when choosing black finish over stainless you're going to pay for it.......but it's also considered to be superior to most aftermarket and other factory finishes
