While were on Chattanooga, does TN require a ccw holder to inform a Leo upon contact? This question may be already posted somewhere else but I haven't seen it.

A 6 hour drive will get you within an hour of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. A 3 hour plane ride will definitely get your there. I agree with the Foley posts too, thats my wifes Birthday destination every year, will be going next week plus its right up the highway from Orange Beach. Fall Creek Falls is really nice, family lives 20 minutes from it and we go all the time, beautiful plus its close to Rock City which anyone going to Chattanooga area should definitely make a stop. Heck, I've been to every place mentioned and I dont think I would turn any of them down, they are all good.

This! Destin is one of my favorite "get-away" places.

Go to South Alabama! Hit the coast and the oulet stores.

One main thing...go to Lambert's Cafe! It's right off Hwy 59. You will not be disappointed. They don't take cards/checks. It's pretty much cash only last time I went.

Well...at this time it looks like we've got 2 destinations. Were gonna go to and probably through Chattanooga on to Gatlinburg. Does anybody have some suggestions for what to do in either place. We've been to Gatlinburg several times, its been awhile, but we pretty much know what to expect there. But we don't know much about Chattanooga and would like some shopping and eating advice, also is anything new in Gatlinburg that we need to do or see? Thanks in advance.

Pigeon forge has the shows and gatlinburg has the shops. We spent more time in PF then Gatlinburg. What about branson mo? It might be closer.

First, if you haven't been to Rock City in Chattanooga, its a must see destination. Its incredible, especially the photo opportunities. Chattanooga also has an Aquarium like NO. There is also Ruby Falls, which is beautiful and an Incline Railway. Plus Lookout Mountain Battlefield. Thyere is also Chickamauga Battlefied and just a short drive up from Chattanooga is Sweetwater, with the Lost Sea and glass bottom boats.

For shopping around Chattanooga, Hamilton Crossing is the place. Gigantic mall, outside stores of every type imaginable and every kind of restaurant you can think of. Chattanooga also has the old Historic Chattanooga Choo Choo, its a train turned into a motel and restaurant.

In Chattanooga, if you like old cars, stop by Honest Charlie's Speed shop or see if you can visit Coker Tire there. If you aren't into old cars, I do recommend the aquarium!

For wedding anniversaries I'd err on the side of relaxing and suggest San Destin by the beach side. Spring would be a nice time and there are nice restauants, couples diversions, walking/hiking/canoeing and good shopping. Charleston, SC is another great place to visit as is Savanah. Good luck and congrats for another year married.
