Is there an army surplus or supply store in the Jackson area? If so what and where?

Daves Military. Hwy 80 East in Pearl. Get off at the Pearson Road Exit and head east on Hwy 80. It's a camouflage building on your right just past the ace hardware.

Yep shares a building with Cycle Service+. I was just in there the other day while I was out job hunting. It's a lot of stuff....not necessarily organized, and certainly not the best prices, but the prices I saw weren't completely outrageous though. Not sure about his gun prices though.

How does the merchandise look? I was in there about 8 years ago and it was kinda ratty... everything stank of cigarette smoke. I did find some surplus West German Bundesgrenzschutz camo jackets - they resemble the Waffen SS camo of WW2 - but they were dirty and in poor condition, for about $70 IIRC. The guy working there acted like I was bothering him asking about prices and actually buying something. Didn't exactly make me feel like coming back.jakeg823 wrote:Yep shares a building with Cycle Service+. I was just in there the other day while I was out job hunting. Not so much ratty, but very cluttered. The stuff I looked closely at wasn't in bad shape

The stuff I looked at was in good shape, but everything did stink of cigarette smoke. I am pretty sure Dave was in there smoking, but can't be to sure.

Correct. He's on 471 just south of Lakeland drive. The store is neat and well organized. There's a fair inventory of the basics.

I think Hasselhoff's is officially Flowood (or just barely outside the limits). From I-55, take Lakeland Drive (Highway 25) north (towards Carthage). At Highway 471, turn towards Brandon (south). I think its a halfmile or so on the right. He has/had a car lot there, also.
Some of you northern-Rankin-County folks correct me if I'm wrong.

Dave's Military, is by far the best place to go for Military surplus. I kinda chuckled when someone mentioned that it smelled like ''cigarette smoke''. Well, hell yeah. Smoke, gun oil, moth balls, etc. Its surplus! The store is packed to the gills, but you won't find a better selection of neat stuff within 250 miles. Cash is king there, he'll deal!

Take Hwy 49 all the way to Hwy 80 in Pearl right past I-20 take a right on Hwy 80 go about 2+- miles you will see Revel/Ace Hardware on your right and Dave's is right past that. Camo store with Service Cycle+ attached to it.
