Does the atf really know what is going on?
Me and my best buddy both sent in some stamps about five months ago. We both mailed them on the same day but fom different towns. The atf cashed my check about a week before they cashed his. Now this is where it gets interesting. He sent in two stamps at once with one check. His first stamp goes pending a week before mine does although my check had been cashed a week earlier. Now his second stamp does not go pending till a month later. Both mailed together. Now it gets even better. So he calls the atf and they tell him his first stamp is approved but the second is still pending so he calls up the ffl we used and they tell him that both of his stamps are in. He tells them that he just got off the phone with the atf and they say that the second is still pending and they asure him that both are their. So he calls the atf back up just to double check and they tell him again that is second stamp is still pending but he is looking at both of them at the ffl. Makes me belive that they might be making this whole process last a litte longer than it should. Oh and for my stamp...still pending...month 5 and some change now.

Right hand does not know what the left hand is doing ... typical non-sense from our guberment. I never trust what they have to say ...

Some of that is just your timing. The inspectors changed formats in the time period you are talking about. You may have two different inspectors working on the different form 4's. The old system used your last name. One inspector did the A's and one the B's and so on. Now they are assigned from the state of origin. In the transition time there was no rhyme or reason to who did you form 4's. I am not trying to defend their process, just letting you know what was going on.

Thanks for the info Doc. I wonder how their system is showing one stamp pending but it has been approved and sent back?

It's a disaster. I have customers who sent in paperwork just like you and their buddy's paperwork gets back a month earlier. It makes mee look like I did something wrong. The new inspector for Mississippi is a REAL stickler for details.

I donated $30 to http://americansilencerassociation.com/ Can't hurt, we need to get our congressmen to raise some hell over this. Another good blog: http://www.silencerco.com/blog/?p=220&utm_source=Class+3+Dealers+%28ALL%29&utm_campaign=44aef11c02-MythBusters&utm_medium=email
